After Thanksgiving, there’s ample opportunity to walk off the meal at Rye Recreation’s Turkey Trot Run. This fun event is an annual happening in Rye and perfect for the whole family with non-competitive and competitive races.
Saturday, November 24th
8:00am – Check- In and On-Site Registration
9:00am – 1-Mile Paws Walk-a-Thon
9:30am – 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk (non-competitive)
10:00am – 3.1 and 5.2 Miles Races

On Sunday, November 25th there is a hometown holiday family festival in downtown Rye…the Mistletoe Magic Family Festival. Inspired by the season of giving, this event is the local merchants way of saying thank you to the community for their patronage throughout the year. Fun includes crafts, activities and games. Previous years activities included pony rides, carriage rides, chili cook-off, bouncy houses, petting zoo and more.

Opportunity for residents to protect the environment, support nonprofit organizations and recycle a large variety of household items.

Mobile Shredder
Up to four file-sized boxes of papers per household.

EWaste & Electronics
Computers, printers, TVs, VCRs, cameras, speakers and more.

Items That Don’t Qualify for Curbside Drop Off
Fire extinguishers, batteries, propane tanks, car tires, pharmaceuticals and more.

Donate to Local NonProfit Organizations
Items from beds to bicycles  – all gently used household items.
